Governing Board
Role and responsibilities of the Governing Board:
- Ensures the fulfillment of the EDRC's aims as laid down in its Statutes;
- Approves the Rules of Operation and the Financial Rules of the Center;
- Approves the change proposals regarding the Statutes before these are presented to the Founders, as provided in the Statutes;
- Provides expert counseling for the development of the Center's strategy and of the programs to be run;
- Analyses the reports presented by the Executive President and makes decisions regarding the development of the Center's activity;
- Evaluates the programs run by the Center;
- Approves the deployment of funds necessary for the Center's programs and its annual budget;
- Delegates the Executive President to execute the disposition documents;
- Makes decisions about carrying out any other activities allowed by the Statutes and the Romanian laws applicable to foundations, in order to fulfill the objectives laid down in the Statutes;
- Approves the members of the International Advisory Board;
- Nominates candidates for the Center's Board of Experts. These nominations will be validated by the Open Society Foundation's National Board;
- Nominates the members of the Center's Evaluation Committee from the Body of Experts approved by the Open Society Foundation's National Board.
