The general objective of the project is to promote social inclusion through facilitating the access of vulnerable groups in Romania’s North-West and Center development regions on the labour market. Specific objectives of the project To analyse needs and resources/opportunities in North-West and Center development regions to promote social economy at the target group level; To create 36 initiative groups, operational at the level of 36 multiethnic communities from North-West and Center development regions; Improving the access of 720 individuals to education and labour market through professional training, certification, provided counselling and assistance; Promoting an inclusive environment at local level so as to encourage public-private partnership in social economy area, mobilising social workers from 36 city halls (social assistance services) by organising training sessions a workshops for target groups and representatives of the private sector; Improving interethnic communication at the level of 36 communities through facilitating Roma, Romanian and Hungarian participation along the whole duration of the project. The target group is represented by 75% jobless Roma people and 25% people having different ethnic backgrounds (i.e. Romanians and Hungarians) and confronting one of the following situations: jobless living based on the minimum guaranteed income or having families with more than two children. Main expected results At least 612 persons, out of the 720 who will benefit from professional assistance and training, will get a qualification meant to facilitate their access on the labour market; 36 operational groups created in order to become long term mobilising structures in the communities; A social economy publication, distributed in 1.500 copies; 20 social economy enterprises created; 40 social workers from the city halls trained regarding non-discrimination, diversity management and social inclusion; 36 public-private partnerships agreed. The total budget of the project is 10.165.280 lei, out of which European Union contribution represents a maximum of 9.959.780 lei.
