The general objectiveThe project’s goal is to promote equal opportunities for young people belonging to ethnic groups so as to improve their involvement in communities’ life, by encouraging them to choose a career in police.
The specific objectives are Informing Hungarian, Roma and German young people in 7 counties about career and educational opportunities within Romanian Police;
Developing educational activities for 49 young people belonging to ethnic groups, for the purpose of professional orientation;
Increasing the partners’ capacity to provide information and professional assistance for young people belonging to ethnic groups.
The target groupHigh-school students belonging to Hungarian, Roma and German ethnic groups in 7 counties (part of them located in rural area), as well as their families.
Direct beneficiaries Minimum 1.800 high-school students belonging to ethnic groups, exposed to the information campaign regarding career opportunities in Romanian Police;
49 young people belonging to ethnic groups, participants in the professional orientation camp.
Indirect beneficiaries:
Ethnic minorities in Romania.
ActivitiesDevelopment of promotion materialsPromotion materials are distributed in 28 schools from 7 counties. They inform and encourage Hungarian, Roma and German high-school students to choose a career in the Romanian Police. They also invite students to participate in a professional orientation camp that will make them aware of the educational activities provided by , Cluj-Napoca, as well as criteria for admission.
Informing young people belonging to ethnic groupsThe information campaign will be realized through posters exposed in schools, fliers and information sessions. This activity is implemented in partnership with County Police Inspectorates.
Organizing the camp Mission possible - equal opportunities in choosing careersThe training sessions developed within the camp will present students specific aspects related to the educational activity provided by „Septimiu Mureºan” Police Constables. This activity addresses those who revealed their interest as a consequence of the information campaign.

Young people belonging to ethnic minorities will be informed regarding the advantages of a career in police, admission requirements and educational program provided.
Following the counseling and provided support, we expect young people belonging to ethnic groups to benefit from equal opportunities at the admission and to overcome all prejudices. Thus, after graduating police schools, they will return in their communities confronting interethnic conflicts, and bring added value to public authority’s management capacity.
Over 1.800 Hungarian, Roma and German high-school students in 28 schools from Cluj, Covasna, Harghita, Mureº, Satu Mare, Sibiu will be informed about career opportunities in Romanian Police. 49 of them will test their abilities within the camp
