Reports on the situation of the minorities in Romania |

EDRC writes a series of reports on the ethnic and religious minorities in Romania, in the framework of an international research project coordinated by the Center of Documentation and Information on Minorities in Europe - Southeast Europe (CEDIME-SE). So far, reports on the Roma and Hungarians in Romania have been written, as well as a first report on a religious minority, the Protestants. The reports contain historiographic, linguistic and sociological information, a long list of readings, and a complete list of addresses of the existing minority institutions.

An instrument of analysis offered to governmental agencies, donors and non-governmental organizations interested in developing and implementing policies to improve the situation of the Roma population in Romania.
The basis of this instrument was represented by a thorough study that included both quantitative components (database with search device) and qualitative components (case studies), of the projects implemented by and for Roma communities beginning with the fall of communism in 1989 and until the end of 2000.
